Biomaa brand beginnings
In 1994, due to a concern regarding the lack of Mexican made products for aquariums in the national market, Biomaa was born.
At the beginning, and for a good part of the history of the aquarium hobby in Mexico, the market had been supplied with products necessary for pets' health with imported international brands.
The Biomaa brand emerged in April 8, 1994 with the intention of offering high quality products with domestic manufacturing in the pet market.
The founder and current CEO Daniel Garcia-Junco saw a need in the market for water conditioners and medications for ornamental fish.
Together with his life partner Graciela Reyes, they built a small laboratory in their living room and began manufacturing three products Clorkill (Antichlorine Agent), Clorkill-Plus (another Antichlorine Agent) and All-Blue (Therapeutic based on Methylene Blue), all in 28mL presentation. Daniel and Graciela began selling these products at local markets.
